18-25 has a statistical advantage, since it spans eight years while 26-30 spans five, and 31-35 spans just four. Despite having half the bucket size, 31-35 is keeping up with 18-25. I'm more surprised by that.

I supose you are right, considering that the bucket size for 31-35 is half for that of 18-25 it is a bit misleading and that people in their early 30's are the most popular demographic.

The great thing about this forum and L and C is that it trandsends ages, as you can be any age to enjoy a good lift... as long as you are over 18 anyway!!!

If you start a poll like this, you are obliged to tell your own age :)

Yes and I would go even further to think that there are plenty of women here hiding under their aliases who will never post (for obvious reason(raging male hormones:D))(they of course had to post in the welcome thread to get in)and the great majority of them are F/F fans.:hmm:

Actually you can enjoy a good lift if you're under 18 too! Some of my best and most memorable came in my pre- and mid-teens!

Here is a topic that can certainly be discussed here and maybe our returning Storm (Welcome back by the way:thumbup1:)could answer: Why are woman so reluctant to give their ages while us men say away? Does it have to do with how our brains are different or something?:confused1:

It's because with each year, a woman gets closer to menopause (at which point they are pretty much useless). Also in general, women are way more obsessed about their looks then men (hence all the tanning, doing their nails, hair salons, shopping, etc). Needless to say, old age is very much correlated with unattractiveness. Women can't handle this nearly as well as men.

Slevin, in all fairness, society treats older women and men differently. This has been true over the ages. Older men may look distinguished Older women are generally just old. Older men may be fertile and capable of having children. Older women are not. This may be the basis for the distinction.

Thank you both Phoneman and "the master" for doing your parts of clearing this issue up for me.:thumbup1:

Leobor May 5th, 2009 23:28

I wonder who is that guy who has over 70... I am sure he has great LC stories to tell.;)

jlcircusrider May 6th, 2009 11:03

That guy over 70 is over 80, but the poll didn't give that option.

I am suprised that there are not more older members as the desire, in my opinion, does not die out. It is just the ability to get rides that fades as it is younger girls who will carry and they prefer to carry younger males.

As it was taboo to get girls to carry you there were few oportunities, when I was younger, as one had to avoid being seen or for the girl to tell someone and finish up in all sorts of trouble.

My first experience was when I was with a friend and we came upon his twin sister with her friend.

I was 11 at the time and the boys used to play what was know in America as 'Johhny on the Pony' (in the UK it had so many names that I have used the USA one).

This we played at school in the playground. The Girls in their playground played 'Donkey'.

At a previous school the boys played Chariots until the teachers stoped them and I don't remember how I did it but I managed to get my friend and his sister and her friend to play chariots.

This consisted of two in front being the horses, by standing side by side and crossing hands behind their backs the chariot then bent over and held onto these hands (arms) and the rider mounted the chariot's back by jumping on.

The chariot then took the rider for a walk. Too short for my liking.

I got my friend to carry his sister and then suggested that he become a horse and his sister the chariot. This left me as the rider and I expected his sister to object but she didn't and I got my first ride.

This took place at the back of the houses so we could net be seen.

After we had all had one ride his sister decided that that was enough.

It was a long time before I got another ride.

MS you do have a way with words! Always have, even in the old forum. 8) I can tell you guys this--the attraction of being picked up by a girl/woman doesn't diminish with age. I started around age 5, about 60 years ago! I still enjoy it.
It's sad that society has made women feel useless as they age, and that youth is more important than any other characteristic. My own prejudice is for fit women. Age is less important; a fit woman of 60--and I know two (twins!) can be lovely!

It is interesting that most members are younger rather than older.

What does this mean?
a) LC popularity is growing, where as there weren't a lot of fans before?
b) simply that younger people, in general, are more computer literate and thus more likely to find the forum.
c) Older people are more likely to be married and busier and not have time or as much interest to be active members (like they might have been if earlier in life).
Or maybe, older married people somehow "outgrow" the LC desire (meaning, it's not as important as it used to be).
d) Something else I didn't think of...
