Hi Phoneman,

a very valid question- the problem with people not being able to lose weight and becoming obese, to super obese has almost solely to do with inconsistent diet discipline and physical activity. Only an extremely insignificant amount of people are unable to lose weight because of genetic factors.

Many people also do not recognise that they have a weight problem, because of what their environment communicates to them, so being obese/super obese is seen as a positive thing. A large part of ethical issue I see with promoting this sort of fat fetish is that this weight problem will almost certainly result in overwhelming health issues, which cost enormously, a passing on of poor eating and physical discipline to the next generation and a quite unnecessary early ending to ones life.
