Do you think actresses actually carry their partners on set?
so I was wondering when they had to shoot a scene where a woman has to carry man, do actresses actually carry them or they use wires???
Do some of them actually carry them? |

Sometimes definitely wires. Sometimes for real. On this forum over the years, we've seen 261 pages worth of real lifts.

There are times when after the scene is done the actress speaks about the lift, whether is was easy or hard, etc. Once in a while, an actress has commented that she did not do the lift.
There have also been many "making of" videos showing how the actress prepared to lift the guy. There is also the issue of having body doubles do the lift rather than the actual actress. Any stunt double would almost certainly be strong enough to lift and carry a normal sized man. ==================================== https://www.instagram.com/p/Bstv9sfHnDo/ As for Jona Xiao I commented a few days ago, she played in several movies, and together she showed a great ability in giving piggybacks. So she has a double capacity, play a role and carry a partner. I thing thar most girls in this thread are similar, with more or less ability. However on a very short sequence, or if the scene is in the darkness, they could probably be replaced by a stronger women vk |

Some real some fake. It depends on the type of lift, because some are easier than others. It can also depend on the actress. Another big one is camera angles and cutaways, because it?s easier to carry someone once they?re placed in a carryable position than it can be to get them there. A short sequence where a woman carries a man a certain distance could be shot over a number of hours where she?s able to rest between takes.

Actresses
It depends. Some actresses like Jennifer Lawrence can do it without problem but I can not imagine Gal Gadot doing it

Overall the bigger the name actress, the less chance she'll do a real lift. Jennifer Lawrence for example gets paid at least 10 million a movie. If she hurts herself on set and has to miss several weeks you can imagine what happens to the budget of the movie. That's why the stunt people exist, they are easily replaceable....queue "the fall guy" theme.

Jennifer Lawrence
You're right, but what I said about Jennifer Lawrence was about Aziz Anzari who was carried on her back even though she did it on the street and it's not on a movie set.
