It's because with each year, a woman gets closer to menopause (at which point they are pretty much useless). Also in general, women are way more obsessed about their looks then men (hence all the tanning, doing their nails, hair salons, shopping, etc). Needless to say, old age is very much correlated with unattractiveness. Women can't handle this nearly as well as men.

MS you do have a way with words! Always have, even in the old forum. 8) I can tell you guys this--the attraction of being picked up by a girl/woman doesn't diminish with age. I started around age 5, about 60 years ago! I still enjoy it.
It's sad that society has made women feel useless as they age, and that youth is more important than any other characteristic. My own prejudice is for fit women. Age is less important; a fit woman of 60--and I know two (twins!) can be lovely!
