If you are on an iPhone, you're probably using Apple's iCloud Private Relay.

Go to Settings > [Your Name] > iCloud > Private Relay and see if it is enabled.

Regardless, it does not matter now, since you have identified yourself as handsonmymouth, who has already passed this check. The VPN requirement is only for new members, not necessary for returning members (as long as you can identify yourself as the returning member you claim to be).
