Default With regards to women in fitness, as a trend do you see women moving towards or away

Lift and carry is, for self evident reasons, rather closely connected with female strength and where the trends are moving. And so I figured I would ask the following.

In the last 20 years, there's been some major fluctuations in how women view lifting heavy for genuine strength and power. In the 80s, 90s and most likely earlier, the gym for women was a place for "toning" and "slenderizing" to use the most common words. Then in the 21st century things changed rapidly with the rise of fitness models showing what lifting actual weight does to physiques, the rise of Crossfit, HIIT and other exercise forms and so on.

In the past 3-4 years or so, what direction have you seen women go in terms of valuing heavy lifting and building strength? Have Crossfit, HIIT and similar types of functional fitness retained some popularity among women? Has there been a massive shift back to more lower intensity type of exercising and emphasis on cardio?
