You probably have Windows Vista 64 on it, and yes Real Player has problems with it. Who knows Microsoft probably did it on purpose the do not like Real having a proprietary format. But try this and you should be able to watch them using media player classic

Yes its because you have a 64bit OS. It has compatiblity problems with older software which were made for 32bit OSes (WinXp or older). The pc industry is doing a transition to 64bit (Windows 7 and Vista 64bit) because a limit for how much RAM memory can be used by a 32 bit OS (such as WinXp or Vista 32bit) has been reached.
