Icon for threads with new replies doesn't appear to be used

I've tried with Firefox, Chromium and Midori, and with the different available themes - with threads I'm involved with, been on, or not, I can't seem to get at a visual indication of new replies on the main forum pages.

Has anyone else noticed this? Makes keeping up with things efficiently a bit more challenging

For me all the new threads with posts are in bold.

Right, I have seen a few examples of bold + correct icon - maybe messing with the themes yesterday fixed it somehow.
