New computer = problems

Yes its because you have a 64bit OS. It has compatiblity problems with older software which were made for 32bit OSes (WinXp or older). The pc industry is doing a transition to 64bit (Windows 7 and Vista 64bit) because a limit for how much RAM memory can be used by a 32 bit OS (such as WinXp or Vista 32bit) has been reached.

It works. The computer actually gave me the
same advice that dendrin did. It suggested some
codecs to be downloaded and voil?!
